Welcome to the Climate Tree 
The Climate Tree is an initiative of The Forest Trust (TFT) that gives individuals, organizations and their staff the opportunity to choose, support and engage with their own forest conservation program. By linking your support to TFT programs working to conserve forests around the world, you can have a big and very direct impact on forest conservation. Forest conservation is important; 20% of all carbon emissions come from our actions that destroy forests so conserving them is fundamental to the fight against climate change, to the protection of biodiversity and to safeguard the lives of indigenous peoples and local communities. We cannot wait for our leaders to agree on a new framework to stop deforestation; it simply takes too long. Together we can act now.

Conserving forests starts at home
Conserving forests starts at home. From the heart of the Congo Basin to South East Asia and South America forests are being destroyed every day to make products that enrich our lives. The Forest Trust (TFT) conserves forests by working with the entrepreneurs that produce and sell these products to make sure they’re profitable AND Forest Responsible. Forest Responsible Products don’t devastate forests, destroy biodiversity or harm indigenous peoples or local communities. You can support forest conservation by demanding Forest Responsible Products (learn more) and, under TFT’s Climate Tree initiative, by supporting TFT’s forest conservation programs.
